What makes a “serious collector” ?

Would you say that you frequently decide on particular artists that you seek to add to your collection and, if so, how do you then determine which specific works to actually acquire (current works, past works, one or more from a series, etc)?

What do you guys think about online auctions?

Any advice from the panelist… How do you cope when you wanted to buy a piece but missed it… (waited too long and it sold)

What is the process of loaning a work to a museum?
