Visit

The ICA is open Thurs-Sun, 12-5PM.

The ICA is open Thursday-Sunday, 12-5pm. Appointments are not required but recommended. Masks are strongly encouraged. Please reschedule your appointment if you experience any symptoms of COVID-19 within ten days of your appointment. You’ll receive an email confirmation once you reserve your tickets. If you need to cancel or reschedule your appointment, please do so prior to your scheduled visit. Each appointment will be 45 minutes. Schedule your appointment below.

The ICA is located at 560 South First Street, San José, CA 95113. ​
Admission is always free.

Driving

The ICA San José is located at 560 South First Street. The nearest cross streets are Reed and William Street. Metered street parking is available on South First Street (meters operate until 6PM). There is also a parking lot underneath Hwy 280 one block south of the ICA and that is $5 all day.

Public transportation

From San Francisco/ Peninsula:

  1. Take Southbound CalTrain to San José Diridon station.
  2. At Diridon, you can take various busses to the ICA. You can take:
    • The free shuttle (the 201 Dash) to South 2nd and San Carlos and walk three short blocks to down South 1st Street
    • The 68 bus to 2nd and William and walk two short blocks down East Williams Street and South 1st Street
    • The 902 VTA Light Rail to the Convention Center Station and walk eight minutes southwest down South Market Street to South 1st Street
  3. The ICA will be on your left.

From Oakland/ East Bay:

  1. Take Westbound Capital Corridor (Amtrak) to San José Diridon
  2. At Diridon, you can take various busses to the ICA. You can take:
    • The free shuttle (the 201 Dash) to South 2nd and San Carlos and walk three short blocks to down South 1st Street
    • The 68 bus to 2nd and William and walk two short blocks down East Williams Street and South 1st Street
    • The 902 VTA Light Rail to the Convention Center Station and walk eight minutes south west down South Market Street to South 1st Street
  3. The ICA will be on your left.

OR

  1. Take the Warm Springs/South Fremont-Richmond train south to Fremont Station.
  2. Take the 181 Express San Jose Bus to West San Fernando/Almeden and walk south to South 2nd Street or South Market Street for fourteen minutes and head to South 1st street.
  3. The ICA will be on your left.
