Lift Off

May 31 – June 11, 2006

The ICA and the San Jose State University School of Art and Design present the 2005-06 MFA Exhibition.

Lift Off will launch the artwork of eighteen new MFA graduates. Work will include the complete gamut of media, including photography, sculpture, painting and new media installations. The MFA program at San Jose state has a reputation for craftsmanship in all media, pushing its students to explore cutting edge tools and materials to present work that is rich in content. The students are encouraged to develop their work in the context of art historical precedent as well as contemporary theories and climate.
