Due to the Shelter-In-Place Order on Tuesday, March 17th, the ICA is postponing this event.

Join ICA Curator Christine Koppes and 40th Anniversary Exhibitions Artists in a gallery walk-through. Learn about the artists’ inspirations and processes behind their work.

In Personal Alchemy, three Bay Area artists including Maria Paz, Muzae Sesay, and Terri Friedman transform personal memories, concerns, and pain into work that inspires positivity and empathy. Each artist uses art as a catalyst for healing and combatting anxieties, both personal and political. David Ellingsen: Weather Patterns is an immersive projection installation that visualizes milestones in climate breakdown. Jingjing Lin’s video projection installation You Can Trust Me: A New Dawn For America introduces, for the first time in history, an AI presidential candidate. Profiles: Portraits of South Bay Creatives, is a series of portraits by Daniel Garcia depicting artists from the South Bay.

Talking Art is free for ICA Members, Students, and Children. $10 for non-Members.

The 2020 season of Talking Art is generously supported by Jacqueline and Richard Boberg.
